SoModern Return Policy

We want you to love your purchase from SoModern. Please review the details below to understand when and how returns are accepted.



Return Eligibility

To qualify for a return, items must meet all of the following conditions:

  • Items must be unused, uninstalled, and in original condition

  • All original packaging, parts, and materials must be included

  • Any item that has been installed or used is not eligible for return and will not be accepted

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these requirements.



Return Timeframe

  • Returns must be initiated within 90 days of receiving your order

  • Requests made after 90 days will not be approved

  • All returns require prior authorization



Restocking Fees

  • Buyer’s Remorse / Non-Defective Returns
    A 25% restocking fee will apply to approved returns due to reasons such as change of mind, incorrect selection, or no longer needed items.

  • Damaged or Defective Items
    If your item arrives damaged or defective, restocking fees are completely waived.



Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged or defective:

  1. Contact us within 7 days of delivery

  2. Include clear photos showing:

    • The item

    • The packaging

    • The damage or defect

Once reviewed, we’ll take care of the next steps, whether that’s a replacement or return.



How to Start a Return

Please include your order number and reason for return.
Returns sent without authorization may be refused.

Shipping Costs

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the item is damaged or defective

  • We recommend using a trackable shipping method for all returns



Refunds

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method

  • All items are inspected upon return

  • Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days after we receive the item



Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Installed or used items

  • Custom or special-order products

  • Clearance or final sale items

This policy follows applicable U.S. consumer laws. SoModern reserves the right to update this policy at any time. The policy in effect at the time of purchase applies to your order.
